Yes you can, and that's a little trick we like to use in these kinds of challenges. I personally start some races on N1s and pit after a lap or two for N2s or 3s. You just have to make sure that your car (and your driving skill) can overcome the time deficit after the pit stop
Oh, that will be really helpful, thank you!
RickGT im actually struggling in the roadster endurance
My opponents have to much power compared to me and I dont seem to be able to get back any of my lost time.
What should I do?
Remember that the opponent's have between 130-150 BHP, so they may be faster in the straight sections. They pit in every 41-43 laps with the exception of the 1800 RS, which can only run 36-39 laps before a stop is needed. If you can manage your pace and your tyre strategy properly, you'll come out in first. Keep a steady pace and remember not to spin your tyres by oversteering or understeer too much. The 1800 RS may take off at an alarming rate, but keep in mind he has to make a pit stop more often than any other opponent
And what tires should I use during the race?
Sports medium?
I used a N2/N3 mix, you can probably get away with S1s but you may need to increase ballast weight to get to 200 pts.
My weight is already at 200 because without it I cant get 200 pts
Drop to N3 tyres, lower your ballast, and practice til you get the handling difference down. Too much ballast is a bad thing since it slows your acceleration
I start the race with n1 tires and 200 ballast weight, I tried many times to find opponents for me and lots of them did not give me 200 pt. The would give me about 190 sometimes even 199
Hmm. Well I won it in a used '89 MX-5, no oil change or upgrades, ballast at 200, started on N1s, pitted after first lap and installed N3s for the remainder of the event. Stayed in 6th for nearly 100 laps, then slowly pulled through to 2nd and stayed there until lap 190, when the 1800 RS went to the pits, won by less than 10 secs at the end.
Hope that helps a bit. I know for some events you have to constantly enter and quit to cycle the opponent line ups til one falls just right for you
