I know I've been gone for a while, but I'm back now, and I've got something to say.
As you all know, GT7 was announced for the PS5, and although I've never played GT Sport (I've only played GT5 and 6, with 6 being my favorite), there is something from that game that I really hope is in GT7: the Livery Editor.
Gran Turismo has never really allowed players to fully customize and paint their cars. That's not to say there aren't any customization options, it's just the ones we have are VERY limited. You can only add aero kits, rear wings, driving number stickers, or paint the entire body, brake calipers, wheels, and rear wings. And you can't even do that to some cars. Customization is the only thing that Gran Turismo doesn't beat all other racing games at.
These problems (or at least the paint related ones) were fixed in GT Sport with the Livery Editor, a feature that allowed players to make custom designs for their cars by adding shapes, logos, windshield banners, and other designs to almost any area of the car in multiple different colors. You can use the stock shapes and logos or go online to download other people's decals. It also offers a wide variety of tools that make customization a breeze. You can copy the design from one side of the car onto the other, scale and rotate the decals, and use brush feature to paint directly onto the car. It allowed you to create your own racing machine.
However, there was one HUGE problem: the game it was stuck on. In case you don't know, I hate GT Sport. Even though it's a spinoff, the lack of cars and tracks is inexcusable. And the cars and tracks it cut were series staples. So obviously, stranding this amazing car editor on this pathetic excuse for a GT game was, to put it lightly, a horrible idea.
But now that they've announced GT7, I have hope that they'll bring the Livery Editor back and include more than 2 cars. It would be so amazing to be able to customize cars like the Suzuki Cappuccino or the Light Car Company Rocket. So those are my only 2 requests for GT7: bring back the Livery Editor and have a car list that doesn't make me vomit and laugh.
