It might come in a future update; only problem is there really is only one currently suitable track for NASCAR racing in the game. Blue Moon Bay Speedway. (Two if you want to use BB Raceway, but it's a bit too small/tight for that.)
I don't think we'll see Daytona return... but Indianapolis better come. It features one of the main motorsport attractions of the world: the Indy 500. It's on the same level as the Bathurst 1000, Monaco Grand Prix, 24hr of Le Mans and several more.
Yeah, that is a concern...
I'd love to see this thing in action, but I guess we may have to settle for getting out hands on it first instead.
Though recent findings suggest we MAY be close to a treatment for COVID-19, so it may still go ahead if this treatment is made readily available by then!
(Fat chance of it happening in time, though.)
That's likely because a the vehicles of Gr.X don't fall into being either Gr.N or any of the race categories. They typically break the mould of being somewhere between road cars and race cars; plus, a lot of them are straight up concept cars.
And there are some GT League events where you CAN race Gr.X vehicles against Gr.N machinery, as long as the base vehicle is NOT a race machine.
OK, so following discussions on the Discord server, I want to re-update what the predictions are for these silhouettes.
The top car is an Abarth 695... OR 595; probably the Competizione in that case.
If that's the case, then that means ALL three cars are new Premiums, with the 180SX being updated to Premium status.
Why are we getting a new Fiat 500?
They might change the current safety cars to be N-class vehicles.
And I think what happened was they scanned a Charger Hellcat police car and used THAT as the basis for the safety car, hence why it has the bull-bars and extra mirrors.
I see the mew cars have appeared in the PS Store.
Looks like the pace cars are, obviously, going to the Mileage Exchange. Thankfully, in a few hours, we'll know for sure whether or not that Dodge is a cop car or a modified pace car...
The former just doesn't seem to fit the GT series/mold. Why a police car?
Too bad I never did that survey...
I said it on Discord, I'll say it again.
This came out of NOWHERE!
Hey guys, I just took a peak at the schedule for the GT Sport Nations Cup and Manufacturers Series championships 'til the end of the year...
There's a gap on the 29th for the Manufacturers Series, which is Round 10. It COULD be that Laguna Seca is coming this month OR another new track/track variant altogether.
Call me excited for this update!
You can also expect me to do my usual 1 Lap Attack video around Spa when it goes live.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the new events in GT League are going to be!
Hey guys. I just took a read of the description for the 'Mazda Trackside Talk' video that is set to premier during the FIA GTC livestream...
It says that they will "unveil a sketch of the MAZDA RX-VISION GT3 CONCEPT due to appear at the FIA-GT Championships from 2020."
So is this a new addition to BOTH the VGT and Gr.3 Sport Mode?!
If it is the case, then we're getting spoiled with Vision Gran Turismo lately!
We only just got the Jag (actually, we really haven't - but it was still only just unveiled) and we're getting another one revealed already?
Wow. They're picking up the pace now!
Oh, and Jon, I don't think we'll be getting one from Alfa anytime soon... they pulled out of the project.
UPDATE: An image has been leaked revealing that it MIGHT be WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
If this is true, then that's another load off the communities shoulder for demand.
I saw that there was nothing new on the final day of racing, which is disappointing.
But at least we have the promise of a new track in there, and/or a new vehicle.
Given that the Repecharge has usually been Gr.B vehicles in the past, it MIGHT be a new off-road track. But that's me being optimistic; realistically, it'll be something really underwhelming.
Like a race track in Japan that everyone outside the country hasn't heard of before.
Like Lotus and adding in Alpine as a competitor in the Manufacturers series?
Which reminds me, did you see the Manufacturer Exhibition?
They had Daihatsu and Suzuki in as teams, even though they have zero vehicles in-game that can compete... so they had to use Lexus and Toyota vehicles with different liveries.
Like, what?
That's interesting...
Wonder what Race A will be then? Any other leaks released?
Spa confirmed for next update, which will probably go live just after the World Tour in Tokyo ends.
FINALLY people can stop going on about wanting Spa...!
Now to worry about people going on about classic tracks.
The fourth-gen Demio they say?
Will it even be called that when it comes? Most of the world knows it as the Mazda2, anyway... Which isn't very sport at all.
Maybe turn a VGT vehicle into a Gr.4/Gr.3 race model.
Like one for the Lesuc LF-LC GT or the Honda Sports VGT. Something like that.
