Škoda Auto, often shortened to Škoda, is a Czech automobile manufacturer established in 1925 as the successor to Laurin & Klement and headquartered in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. Škoda became state owned in 1948. After 1991, it was gradually privatized to the German multinational conglomerate Volkswagen Group, becoming a partial subsidiary in 1994 and a wholly owned subsidiary in 2000.

Škoda automobiles are sold in over 100 countries, and in 2018, total global sales reached 1.25 million units. The operating profit was €1.6 billion in 2017. As of 2017, Škoda's profit margin was the second-highest of all Volkswagen AG brands after Porsche. Additionally, Škoda is the largest company by revenue in the Czech Republic.

Škoda is best known in motorsport for its World Rally Championship program. Škoda started in Rally in the mid-1980s, competing in Group B and Group A with the Škoda 130 models. Their most successful rally car they ever sported is based on the Fabia, their most popular model to this day. Škodas motorsport history is not just limited to rally, Škoda has also competed in Sportscar racing in the 1950s with its 1101 sport model and the successor the 1100 OHC too.

The company made its debut in Gran Turismo 7.
