The 2010 AJ Allmendinger #43 Best Buy FORD FUSION is a 2010 NASCAR race car produced by Ford. It appears in Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6.
In the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, A.J. Allmendinger drove this car to 19th place in the final standings with no wins.
In-game description[]
Originally from Formula racing, A.J. Allmendinger was unstoppable in the step up categories, and reached the top of American open wheel racing, the Champ Car series at the young age of 22. However, starting off in the series with a team that was entering for the first time, he did not achieve any wins and was let go mid season.
He then transferred to a new team, and immediately took his first win in his career, and went on to win 3 races in a row. He of course then became one of the favorite drivers in the series.
By 2007, he had debuted in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. A.J. began to master stock cars which are of course much different from Formula cars, and gaining experience along with speed, he transferred to Richard Petty Motorsports in 2009. And in the opening round at the Daytona 500, the biggest motorsports event in America, he succeeded in achieving a 3rd place finish. Not affected by the disadvantage of having just changed teams, he showed his unfaltering strength in competition.
In 2010, he continued to surprise by gaining pole position at the 7th round of Phoenix, for the first time in his Cup Series career. A.J. continues to attract fans with his dramatic driving, and is a true American racing driver with a cheerful character and aggressive driving style.
