Takuma Miyazono (pictured as Super License test instructor) won the 2024 Nations Cup.
The 2024 Gran Turismo World Series is the seventh season of the Gran Turismo World Series, and the third season held in Gran Turismo 7 and under the GTWS name.
The online season, held in one season, was held from April 17 to May 4 for Nations Cup and May 8 to 25 for the Manufacturers Cup, with four live events held throughout the year. In those live events, the first three live events featured Manufacturers Cup drivers from each region, with all of them meeting at the World Finals, while the Nations Cup roster, reverting to an individual format, remained constant throughout every live event.
Lexus won the Manufacturers Cup over BMW by a one-point gap, while Takuma Miyazono scored his second Nations Cup crown, and the first in GT7 and in the front of a live crowd.
This season marked the last year for Genesis and Michelin as official GTWS partners, as their partnership contracts expired at the end of the year. Additionally, it was also the final year for the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup, a World Finals fixture, as the championship was discontinued for 2025.
Online Season[]
- The following content is taken from Sport Mode (GT7)/Championships#2024; only official season races are listed in this page.
The online season took place from April 17 to May 4 for Nations Cup and May 8 to 25 for the Manufacturers Cup.
For 2024, Manufacturers Cup races are entirely done with Gr.3 cars for GT1 League, with Gr.4 cars used in even-numbered rounds for lower-league players. This change was trialed in the post-season 2023/2024 Exhibition Series 1, and would begin a trend of the Gr.4 cars being phased out from online Manufacturers Cup races. The second half of Nations Cup was entirely done with provided cars only, due to a bug introduced in version 1.46 (released April 25, the day after the third round) where cars could be tuned in events with tuning restrictions. Since the last round before the release of the update with the bug featured provided cars, custom liveries were only seen in the first two Nations Cup rounds. The bug was not fixed until May 7 (with release of 1.47), a day before Manufacturers Cup began.
The Manufacturers Cup season (as well as the concurrent Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup season) was also noted for several hopefuls having their points stripped from the standings during the season for on-track conduct, with some of the points removals being controversial.[1]
Number of laps in brackets indicate number of laps for non-GT1 League players.

- ↑ The cars featured were based on that featured in the first Nations Cup qualifying race at 2023 GTWS World Finals.
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 Following the release of update 1.46, which introduced a bug allowing tuning in events that otherwise forbade any tuning (but not those with partial tuning), rounds 4 to 6 of the 2024 Nations Cup was set to use provided cars only.
- ↑ 3.0 3.1 3.2 These races were raced using Gr.4 cars instead of Gr.3 for races in the GT2 and GT3 divisions.
- ↑ This race's qualifying time limit was reduced from the standard 5 minutes to 3 minutes on the day of the race.
Live Events[]
Four live events to determine the point rankings were held throughout the year.
For 2024 season, live timing streams are also available, in addition to race streams.

This event was originally planned to be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates,[2][3] but was moved to Amsterdam (the site of 2023 Gran Turismo World Series Showdown). Walsen substituted for Igor Fraga due to scheduling conflicts; Fraga was still partially acknowledged as part of the 2024 Manufacturers Cup champion in the Gran Turismo Race of Champions broadcast later that year. Although the BMW team won the Manufacturers Cup Grand Final race (and thus the Predict the Winner prizes went to those who chose them), Lexus is considered as the winner as the event decided the championships. Online Manufacturers Cup Season (GT1 League)[]
Porsche (live event car pictured) won the 2024 online Manufacturers Cup season.
The top 12 manufacturers advance to the live events. In event any of the partner manufacturers (Toyota, Mazda, or Genesis) fell out of top 12, they would have replaced the lowest ranked non-sponsor manufacturer.
The best half of the season - best three races out of six rounds - counted towards the championship. (At the halfway point of the season, the best two results counted.)
Defending champions Nissan failed to qualify after only finishing 20th in the online season. Meanwhile, Genesis used its guaranteed status for a second time in a row (and for the last time), bumping out 12th place finisher Lamborghini.

Online Nations Cup Season (GT1 League)[]
The online qualifying for the 2024 season of Nations Cup essentially reverted to how it was in 2022 where drivers compete for themselves as individuals, but with only one online season, the number of live event contestants was drastically reduced to twelve. Additionally, the number of players per country limit, which had been present since FIAGTC/GT Sport era of individual Nations Cup competition, was removed.
Each region is capped to a set number of players, for a total of 12 players:
- Europe, Middle East, Africa: 5
- North America: 2
- Central/South Americas: 2
- Asia: 2
- Oceania: 1
As with Manufacturers Cup, the best half of the season - best three races out of six rounds - counted towards the championship, while at halfway point of the season, the best two results counted.
Bold indicates qualified players.
For privacy of players who have yet to qualify for live events, PSN IDs are used throughout this section. PSN IDs refer to current ID as of creation of the article and may not reflect their handle at the time of qualification. Only Top 10 rankings of each region are listed.

- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Harald Walsen substituted for Igor Fraga in the World Finals, as Fraga had to compete in the Super GT Suzuka 350 km race taking place the same weekend as the event, which was postponed from its original date in August due to Typhoon Shanshan. Fraga was still partially acknowledged as part of the 2024 Manufacturers Cup championship team in that year's Gran Turismo Race of Champions broadcast.
