The 2024 Gran Turismo World Series Round 3 was the third round of 2024 Gran Turismo World Series live events, which took place on September 28, 2024 at the Theater Milano-za in Tokyo, Japan. The event featured the third round of Nations Cup, featuring all qualified 12 drivers from all three regions, and Manufacturers Cup, featuring 12 drivers from the Asia-Pacific region.
The event was open to the general public, much like GTWS live events since 2023, with general ticket sales beginning on August 10 for Gold (two-event admission) tickets and August 16 for single-event tickets.
The Gran Turismo College League (GTカレッジリーグ) finals, an esports league involving Japanese university teams (plus one university from the United States) also took place the following day at the same venue. The GTCL event was also streamed live on Gran Turismo TV YouTube channel, but only in Japanese. Unlike the main World Tour event, admission to GTCL event was free.[1]

Qualifying[]
Sprint Race[]
Twelve pre-tuned cars were provided for the race, with the cars being described as hovering around 1000 horsepower; for instance, the R32 GT-R was claimed tuned to have over 1000 PS. (The cars' specifications were later revealed on a replica Daily Race A held on the week of December 30, 2024 to January 6, 2025, coinciding with the air date of the 2024 Gran Turismo Race of Champions, a pre-recorded exhibition race that took place during Polyphony Digital's year-end office party.) As usual with races involving pre-tuned road cars, picking order is also determined by each player's qualifying position.
This race saw one of the closest finishes in history of GTWS, with Miyazono edging Gallo by mere 0.003 seconds.

Grand Final[]
Although Miyazono had the edge by starting first from winning the Sprint Race, tire strategy mistakes handed the win to his Manufacturers teammate Drumont, who capitalized on Miyazono's mistakes. Miyazono however managed to still keep a podium finish, behind Serrano.
Ultimately, the result of Nations Cup sets itself up for a five-way title fight at the World Finals between Drumont, Serrano, Miyazono, Gallo, and Lopez.
