The 4WD Challenge in GT2 is exclusive to 4WD cars, which mainly consist of top-performing cars with turbocharged engines. It's probably the most gruelling drivetrain-based set of races as the AI cars are all very high performance 4WD cars.

Trivia[]
- All of the races in the 4WD Challenge are set in the US.
- The last race of the 4WD Challenge has the largest HP limit of all the HP-limited races (under 690hp). The reason behind this huge HP limit is that there are several 4WD cars in the 394hp-690hp power range. The cars include: Tommy Kaira R (both variants, with 411hp for R33 and 370hp for R34), RUF CTR2 (490hp), RUF CTR2 Sport (532hp), RUF Turbo R (490hp), Mine's Lancer Evolution V (411hp), all the Skyline-based Mine's GT-R (all of which have 620hp), Nismo 400R (400hp), etc.
