Abarth & C. Spa, or Abarth & C., or simply known as Abarth is a racing and road car manufacturer, founded by Carlo Abarth of Turin in 1949. Its logo is a shield with a stylized scorpion on a red and yellow background, with a green, white, and red banner above the red and yellow background spanning the shield widthwise representing the flag of Italy, the country it started production in.
Initially making an informal appearance in Gran Turismo 2, they finally made their official debut in the series starting from Gran Turismo 6.

- In Gran Turismo 2, the Fiat 500 R's description mentions how Fiat developed a high-performance variant of the Fiat 500 from 1963 onwards. Visually the Abarth brand was alluded to in the racing modifications of the Fiat 500 R '75, with the paintwork adorned in its traditional white and red decaled livery and its trademark lowered performance stance.
