Acura is a Japanese-American car company that is a part of Honda. It appeared in every mainline Gran Turismo game up until Gran Turismo 6, where starting from Gran Turismo Sport onwards, the existence of Acura in the series has been integrated into Honda.

Trivia[]
- In earlier games, until Gran Turismo 2, Acura was only featured in the NTSC-U version of the games. They would be later included in the PAL and NTSC-J versions of the games starting with Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec.
- Although Acura only appears in the NTSC-U version of Gran Turismo 2, Acura advertising banners and billboards can still be seen on racetracks in the other versions.
- Inversely, there are no Acura advertisements in the NTSC-U version of the first Gran Turismo.
- Unused bodies for lower trim models of the Acura Integra (LS and GS) can be found in GT2. These cars do not have coded physics, and the replay names are all capitalized (following the Japanese version's naming conventions) in all versions of the game, until they were removed starting from the December 22nd, 1999 build (the Japanese PSone Books revision) of the game.[1]
- It appears that all Acura Integra models in GT2 are designed for these pre-facelift trims in mind, since all of them feature GS wheels, short spoilers, and pre-facelift headlights. Ironically, if the cars are race modified, these cars gain facelift headlights and rear bumpers.
- Additionally, the unused racing modification for the LS trim model features a Type R logo on the windshield sticker that is not used on any other version, especially the 1998 Integra Type R.
- Although Acura does not appear as a playable make in Gran Turismo Concept (the Acura CL 3.2 Type-S '01 does appear as an opponent-only car), there are Acura advertisements around Tokyo R246. Additionally, the Integra and NSX models new to the game were seemingly localized as Acuras for a potential, unrealized North American release of the game.
