In-game description[]

This description is taken from the NTSC version of Gran Turismo 2:

The Integra is sold as an Acura in North America. Although Acura was established as Honda's upscale division, the Acura Integra is no softened poser. The LS, GS, and GS-R are just as performance-oriented as the Honda Integras sold in Europe and Japan. All three models are available in coupe and sedan body styles. The fully-independent suspension uses double wishbones with coil springs and stabilizer bars all around. All have nimble handling characteristics, with good cornering behavior and high limits of adhesion. They now share tire and wheel sizes and suspension calibration, although the GS-R has a shock tower brace for extra rigidity. Where they differ is under the hood. The LS and GS have a 1.8-liter, dual overhead cam, 16-valve four-cylinder engine that produces 140 BHP at 6300 rpm and 127 lb-ft of torque at 5200 rpm. Transmission choices are five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. The GS-R has a 1.8-liter twincam, 16-valve engine with the VTEC variable valve timing and lift system. Internal parts are stronger than those of the LS/GS engine to cope with the increased power and revs. With 170 BHP at 7600 rpm and 128 lb-ft of torque at 6200 rpm, it had the highest specific power output of any street-legal non-supercharged engine at the time of its introduction. A five-speed manual is the only gearbox available. The current GS-R engine has useable power throughout its rev range, with very good midrange response. In any form, the Acura Integra is one of the best-handling front-wheel drive cars made, and a joy to drive.
