Renault revealed the new generation Alpine A110 production model to the world in the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show. Renault had brought back the Alpine brand specifically for this purpose, producing and developing concepts and prototypes towards making this production model.
The new A110 dons an aluminum body that seems to widen and add the latest aerodynamics technologies to the first generation A110, on a light and strong aluminum chassis. The weight is approximately 1100 kg, and mounts a newly developed 1.8L inline 4 cylinder turbocharged engine midship. This is combined with a Getrag 7 speed dual clutch transmission. The maximum output of the engine is 248.5 BHP, with 320 Nm (32.6 kgfm) of maximum torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62.1 mph in 4.5 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 155.3 mph. The suspension is double wishbone on all 4 wheels.
The model revealed at the show was the Première Édition, limited to a production run of 1955 cars. It is equipped with a special 18 inch aluminum wheel with matte black diamond surfacing and a light weight sports exhaust. On the interior it features matte carbon fiber accents, aluminum pedals and sports seats as standard equipment.
