Pre-race dialogue[]

Race Driver Quote Notes
Special Stage Route X A. Tapai "Hello, my name's Ádám Tapai. I love Mustangs, and I've come all the way from Hungary to compete in this race. If only every race was for Mustangs! You don't stand a chance in today's race if your car doesn't have enough power. It's also crucial that you use the slipstreams of the cars in fromt of you to reduce wind resistance."
A. Wilk "My dad and older brother are big Gran Turismo fans as well. We've always loved smashing each others' lap records! The experience I've gained from doing is fundamental to how I race today!"
WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca I. Fraga "I've come to the U.S. with my father in order to race. My father is an engineer, and used to be a racing driver. Naturally, he's the one who taught me the fundamentals of driving. I deeply respect him for that."
A. Regalado "Hola, I'm Alonso Regalado. Nice to meet you. I'm from Peru, in South America, It's a country that's probably most famous for the Nazca Lines. Gran Turismo is what first got me into cars. But I'm sure that can be said of a lot of people! My favourite car is a Dodge Viper."
D. Solis "I drove a Viper at Laguna Seca in the IA-6 licence test. Taking that test's a good way of mastering that corkscrew corner."
Daytona Road Course D. Solis "I'm going to compete in a tuned up Viper! On this track, the first corner is on a banked section, which makes entering it quite tricky. If you turn the steering wheel too much, your car might enter a spin, and you might not be able to prevent it. Try to minimise your steering as much as possible, and be sure to brake only when moving in a straight line."
A. Cajal "What I love about Gran Turismo is how international it is. Take this race for example—there are drivers competing from all over the world!"
Watkins Glen Long Course A. Inostroza "I'm Ángel Inostroza, from Chile. If you can run straight through the chicane in the middle of this track, it'll save you time!" This is one of the featured races for Watkins Glen, added to the game alongside it.
A. Brooks "I'm Andrew Brooks, from Canada. If this is your first time racing on this track, I recommend practicing with Circuit Experience. You will be able to plan for each section, which will in turn save you time."
Trial Mountain Circuit A. Tapai "I'm Ádám Tapai, from Hungary. The Ford Mustang I'll be racing in is the quintessential American muscle car. What I love about these cars is the roar of their large V8 engines!"
Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit J. Serrano "Hello, I'm Jose Serrano, from Spain. Today I'll be racing a C8, or eighth-generation Corvette. An American sports car, the Corvette had always been known as an FR car. That is, until the C8 came along, as it used a midship layout. Historically speaking, Chevrolet engineers have been experimenting with midship 'Vettes for decades. Apparently, the oldest of such test cars dates back to the 1980s!" This is the featured race for the C8 Corvette, added to the game alongside it.
M. McEwen "Hi there, I'm Matthew McEwen, from New Zealand. The Mount Panorama Circuit has 1.2 mile (2 km)-long straight and plenty of hair-raising corners... Winning it the distinction of being one of the toughest tracks in the world. Normally used as a public road, its track surface has noticeable ruts and dips. It's hard to believe that the world-famous Bathurst 10000 is actually held here!"
High Speed Ring Reverse E. Jones "I'm Emily Jones, and I come from Australia. The Ford Maverick I'm riding in... Was built by Greening Auto Company, a custom car builder from Alabama, in the USA. It's powered by a 7L V8 twin-turbo engine capable of outputting over 1,200 horsepower! What's more, it won the GT Award at the 2018 SEMA Show." This is the featured race for the GAC Maverick, added to the game alongside it.
Autódromo de Interlagos A. Santos "Hi there, I'm Antonia Santos from France. Today I'll be driving the most iconic American sports car. You know the one - That's right, the Chevrolet Corvette! This is the C5, the fifth-generation model, whose lineage dates back to 1997. And what's more, it's the Z06 variant. The Z06 was specially built with racing in mind, equipped with a 384.6 BHP engine and uprated undercarriage system. In addition to its fixed, hardtop roof, its manual-only transmission distinguished it as a spartan machine. Packed with thrills, this longnose FR-vehicle offers a wind-in-your-hair freedom that's 'all-American'!" This is the featured race for the C5 Corvette, added to the game alongside it.

Trivia[]

  • The flyer image at Mount Panorama race shows an Accelerate Yellow Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray '20 on the cover, which would have been M. Callahan's car for the event, however he does not appear in that race, instead a modified black one driven by José Serrano appears in that race.

  • R. Benedetti's Corvette originally carried a full GT Auto body kit, but the kit was removed in a later update. Benedetti's opponent thumbnail also formerly contained a three-spoke wheel (WORK Ryver S003h) not available for purchase in GT Auto until version 1.49.
  • As of an unknown update, all Professionally Tuned cars from America are eligible for use in all races; prior to then, they could only be used at High Speed Ring. This includes the Garage RCR Civic and GReddy Fugu Z, despite the base cars being of Japanese origin. This is because the cars are coded as American manufacturers, reflecting the tuners' country of origin.
  • Matthew McEwen has a portrait in races within this event, but the portrait is missing in the World Touring Car 700 and World Touring Car 800 events. This is likely because McEwen's portrait was not added to the game until the race at Mount Panorama was included as well, with his name in other events simply being a reference.
    • A similar occurrence happens with other World Series drivers such as José Brea (who would also later have his portrait added to the game in an update), Kevin Conomos and B. Valverde.
