In-game description[]

Unveiled at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show, the DB9 represents the latest in a long line of Aston Martins that wore the "DB" moniker. "DB" stood for David Brown, the company founder. This latest GT (Grand Tourer) retained all the visual cues of its predecessor, the DB7, with new technology borrowed from the Aston martin Vanquish supercar mixed in for good measure. The DB9 featured the company's new aluminum VH platform, a lightweight foundation that allowed the car to tip the scales at a lean 3770 lb.

Not bad for a car measuring 185 inches, 73 inches and 50 inches overall length, width and height respectively. Under its hood resided a 5.9-liter DOHC V12, also from the Vanquish, that pumped out a whopping 449 HP and 420.2 lb-ft of torque. Also, thanks to its 6-speed transaxle, the FR (Front engine, Rear drive) car boasted excellent handling balance, and made for a very impressive race car.

But what this Aston did best was spoil the driver, not only with its awesome performance, but with head-turning good looks. The car's exterior styling made enthusiasts' mouths water (with many preferring its looks over comparable Ferraris), while special touches inside the cabin were highlighted by a tachometer that operated in a reverse clockwise direction and a dashboard panel available in bamboo wood.
