Description[]
The Aston Martin Design Prototype 100 joins the stable of Vision Gran Turismo racers. It was developed entirely in-house by the brand’s Design team, led by Design Director Marek Reichman.
Design Prototype 100, also referred to as DP-100, was created by a highly experienced team which worked on the project for six months at Aston Martin’s global headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
DP-100 not only looks beautiful, but also boasts a high degree of engineering integrity. The twin-turbo V12 mid-engined racer offers up to 800 BHP, endowing it with blistering performance fully in keeping with the high octane nature of the game.
Created utilising many of the same techniques as applied in the development of Aston Martin production sports cars – hand sketches and 3D modelling, followed by full realisation in the virtual world – DP-100 provides an exceptional level of detail with a fully functioning suspension system and state-of-the-art electronics.
As with 2013's Aston Martin centenary celebration concept car – the CC100 Speedster – some of the design cues visible in DP-100 such as the light blade rear lamps could also feed through into future production sports cars from the world-renowned British luxury brand.
Brand Central (GT7)[]
The Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo is a product of the Aston Martin design team, led by Marek Reichman. A mesmerising blend of the brand's past and future, it is, as the 'DP' in its name suggest, a 'design prototype'. Sporting, a midship twin-turbo V12 engine, the DP-100 is capable of delivering up to 799.8 BHP. The fact that it's one of the few midship cars Aston Martin has ever produced only adds to its appeal!
