In-game description[]

"A high-class concept car which signified Audi's entry into the SUV segment."

Located in the American Rocky Mountains in the state of Colorado, Pikes Peak is a towering mountain that's also known to car enthusiasts as the site for the country's[1] premier hill climb event. At the 2003 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, German car manufacturer Audi introduced a concept SUV named after this event called the Pikes Peak Quattro.

While rivals such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and even Porsche having their own SUV products in the U.S., Audi was late getting to the party. But the Pikes Peak Quattro was Audi's way of saying, "Here we come." A muscular heart beat beneath the Pikes Peak Quattro's hood, one that matched the rugged character of the exterior: the awesome 500 HP twin-turbo V8 from the intoxicating Audi RS6 sports sedan. In the RS6, this powerplant could propel the car from a standstill to 60 mph in an impressively quick 4.7 seconds and enable the sedan to reach a top speed of 155 mph. An active suspension was paired with Audi's famous Quattro all-wheel-drive system for a high level of stability and control.

The Pikes Peak Quattro met with an overwhelmingly positive response by show-goers that year in Detroit, and everyone hoped the car would be available commercially. The production version, dubbed the Audi Q7, arrived a year and a half later at the Paris Motor Show in September 2004 and proved a big hit in the U.S.
