"The drift machine that brought Blitz its first D1 victory."
―In-game catch text for the car, from GT6's Dealership

The BLITZ ER34 D1 SPEC '04 is a tuned car produced by Blitz. It appears in Gran Turismo 4, Gran Turismo PSP, Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6.

In-game description[]

Being one of the way first parts manufacturers to participate in the All-Japan D1 Grand Prix, aftermarket tuner Blitz always competed with tuned machines true to their origins. Unfortunately though, through the 2003 season, these type of cars never had a shot of winning, so in 2004, Blitz introduced a purpose-built 4-door Skyline drift car.

To shed as much weight as possible from the sedan, Blitz tore out all parts unnecessary to drifting before installing a roll cage. It also swapped the original body panels in favor of those made of carbon fiber. The result was a car that weighted 250 kg less than stock. To make sure the car had a stable rear end, its 60-liter safety tank was placed far in the back of the trunk compartment; this also allowed the Blitz team to adjust weight at the rear of the car by altering the amount of fuel. A 6-throttle-body assembly originally designed for the GT-R was mounted on the engine to improve the engine's throttle response. Displacement on the powerplant was increased and a K-5 660R turbocharger was installed. All this resulted in peak power of 444 HP. Various tweaks were made to the suspension, improving the car's stability during turns.

This machine ultimately brought Blitz its first D1 victory in its second time out in 2004.
