The BMW 330i '05 is a compact executive car produced by BMW. Part of the fifth generation E90 series, it appears in Gran Turismo 4, Gran Turismo PSP, Gran Turismo 5, and Gran Turismo 6.

Upon entering the 21st century, BMW released a dizzying array of new models like the 5 series, 6 series, Z4, X3 and 1 series. Their flagship model for 2005 was the 5th-generation 3 series.
The 5th generation model is called the E90 series, whereas the old model was the E46. The same design features pioneered by Chris Bangle in the new 7 series are present in this 3 series, and the dynamic surfaces and sharp visage of the headlights call to mind a bird of prey. This look has become an identifying trait of the 5th generation 3 series.
The body was mde one size larger than the E46 in order to more clearly distinguish it from its sister model, the 1 series, which had already been released. At 177.9 inches long, 71.5 inches wide and with a wheelbase of 108.6 inches, its dimensions are comparable to those of the old 5 series.
The engine is available in a variety of displacement sizes, but the biggest feature of note is the long-awaited move to Valvetronic timing in the straight-6. The 3-liter version of this was offered one step ahead in the 6 series. The new maximum output of 254 HP represents a more than 10% increase over the 227 HP of the original 3-liter.
The same cutting-edge suspension used by the 1 series is carried over, with double-joint struts in the front and a newly designed multilink set-up in the rear. With its good front-rear weight distribution, sportiness and ride comfort has been improved even further. And the car's handling in extreme conditions is as superb as always.
The 3 series is a real contender in the European mid-size sedan segment where cars like the Mercedes C Class, Audi A4 and Alfa Romeo 159 strive for dominance.
