The BMW Concept 1 Series tii '07 is a concept car produced by BMW. It appears in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6.

In-game description[]

"The 1 series concept car which implied a return to the legendary 2002 model."

Although the BMW 1 Series represented the company's entry-level model, it was still one of the most enthusiast-oriented cars in the marketplace. The FR (Front engine, Rear drive) sedan was initially offered in 3- and 5-door versions (matching rivals in its class), but in July 2007, BMW announced the addition of a 2-door model to the mix. This news immediately prompted the media to compare the new car to the legendary BMW 2002, going as far as to say it was the resurrection of the classic.

BMW aptly responded at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show when it unveiled the Concept 1 Series tii, the "tii" in its name coming from the performance-oriented model of the BMW 2002. Think of this car as the M version of the 1 Series.

The focus of this concept car was performance. Front air dams and other special aerodynamic parts were added to its exterior, and the hood and door mirrors were composed of carbon-fiber. Fins placed on the sides of the hood were reminiscent of another Bavarian classic, the BMW 3.0CSL.

Inside the sheet metal, a brightly-colored white tachometer implied "sports car," while rich Alcantara fabric placed throughout the cabin added a touch of luxury. While no engine details were given, the car probably had a spiced up version of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-6 lurking under its hood.

As the ultimate form of the 1 Series, many enthusiasts demanded that this car be produced; however, BMW has yet to answer the call.[1]
