- "This is the M2 Competition, an upgraded variant of the compact, powerful rear-wheel drive M2. BMW's M models are considered very special by racing fans all over the world. This is because they're developed by BMW M, BMW's dedicated motorsport subsidiary. Their cars trace their ancestry back to legendary sports cars of the 1970's, such as the BMW 3.0 CSL and BMW M1. The M2 Competition features a straight-six twin turbo S55B engine, developed by BMW M. The car's cooling systems, brakes and body rigidity are also a step up on the base M2. Of all the M2 series retail models, this is the one that'll provide the best experience on the track."

In-game description[]
The BMW 2 Series coupe is a popular high-performance rear-wheel-drive compact car. The BMW M2 Competition is the extreme version that fills the same engine compartment with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-6 "S55" engine from the M3 and M4.
What you'll notice first is the car's captivating bodywork. With its bulging over fenders, the exterior is the embodiment of speed. Although it measures only 176.2 inches in length, it's actually about the same size as the E36 M3. Whether in the city or on winding backroads, the car displays an incredible sense of control, as if it was an extension of the driver's body.
The S55 engine delivers a maximum power output of 404.3 HP with 405.8 ft-lb peak torque. Even up against BMW's long history of high-performance inline-6 engines, this model has an exceptional high-revving nature, and as the boost builds its explosive power emerges.

Trivia[]

- In the US/Asian English version of the game, its Car Index catch text only displays "r".
- Despite being a left-hand drive model, its wipers were initially placed on the right-hand drive position. This was later fixed in Update 1.29.
