  • Dakargelb (Dakar Yellow)
  • Cosmosschwarz (Cosmos Black)
  • Evergreen
  • Estorilblau Metallic (Blue Metallic)
  • Bostongrun Metallic (Boston Green Metallic)
  • Imolarot (Imola Red)

In-game description[]

"Equipped with the type E36 M3 engine; the pinnacle of the Z3."

In 1998, BMW released the Z1 roadster, and later expanded the Z series lineup with new models. But the model that defined the Z series was the Z3 that was introduced in 1996. Because of the popularity of roadsters (2-seat convertibles) in the U.S. at the time, BMW decided to build the vehicles in its factory in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Thus, the Z3 was BMW's first car to be produced outside of Germany.

Soon after its release, a hardtop and a hatchback version were added to the lineup. Like the roadster, the coupe came with a variety of engine choices. But the one that shone the brightest was the one found in the M Coupe. It was powered by the S50, a 3.2-liter DOHC inline-6 used by the E36 M3. Output was rated at 316 HP and 258.2 ft-lb of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 5.4 seconds. This engine underwent some minor changes in 2001, evolving to the S54, with output upped to 320 HP and 260.3 ft-lb of torque. The FR (Front engine, Rear drive) car also possessed world-class handling.

The macho styling of the M Coupe had elements that reminded some of the old Shelby Cobra. With its bulging fenders and radical rear end, this car was indeed Germany's take on how a muscle car should look and feel.
