"Unveiled in 2016, the Bugatti Chiron was developed as the successor to the Veyron. The character line that runs over the center of the body is a nod to the famous Type 57 Atlantic. Priding itself in a chassis strong enough to compete against the top-tier race cars at Le Mans, this super sportscar is powered by a quad-turbocharged W-16 engine. It has a maximum output of a whopping 1479.3 HP!"

Description[]

The Chiron is a super sports car unveiled by Bugatti in 2016. This limited production model was introduced as a follow-up to the Veyron, with only 500 units available worldwide.

The exterior features large C-shaped lines that encircle the cabin and also serve as air intakes. It also features an accentuated centre-line inspired by the Type 57 Atlantic Coupe that increases straight line stability.

The carbon fibre chassis provides the same level of rigidity as an LMP1 race car and houses an* 8L W16 quad-turbo engine. The engine has been extensively tuned since the Veyron iteration to a maximum power output of 1479.3 HP and a maximum torque rating of 1179.7 ft-lb.

The car is able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.5s and a pre-production prototype was able to reach a maximum speed of 490.5 km/h.

In 2018, the Chiron Sport was introduces featuring an improved chassis weighing 40 lbs less than the original. In 2019, the limited edition "Chiron Sport 110 ans Bugatti" was released to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Bugatti. Only 20 of these cars were made.

Café Conversations (GT7)[]

Kagurazaka[]

The large air intakes placed on the side of the body are reminiscent of elegant French styling of the 1930s. However, I sense it is slightly mismatched with the wild example of the coda tronca body style. The side intakes seem to have been added to improve on the Veyron's aerodynamics. They make the sides look a bit like a French carrosserie or the Delage D6 of Henri Labourdette. This is a beautiful flamboyant French design, one where the function-defining form to travel at 248.5 miles... Makes modern-day Bugattis so alluring, don't you think? It's my fondest hope that they always remain sublime and pure.
