The 6th generation model of the Chevy Camaro, America's legendary sports car, was revealed in the spring of 2015.
The styling followed the retro-modern design that was highly popular in the market in the last generation. However, the inside of the car received a full makeover. The platform was changed from the 'Zeta' platform of the previous model to the 'Alpha' platform shared with cars like the Cadillac CTS, but with roughly 70% of its parts developed specifically for the Camaro.
The body utilises aluminium in various parts, improving the rigidity of the body by 28%, but with a weight reduction of over 90 kg. The suspension mounted on this body was also newly designed, with multi-link MacPherson strut in the front, with a 5 link suspension in the rear.
The biggest news regarding the engine was that a turbocharged 2 litre inline 4 producing 275.1 BHP and 40.8 kgfm of torque was added to the lineup. Improvements were also made to the existing 3.6 litre V6, raising both power and torque slightly to 335.3 BHP and 39.3 kgfm respectively. In addition, an LT1 6.2 litre V8 - the same engine as the Corvette - is also available in the lineup, producing 454.6 BHP and 62.9 kgfm torque.
The sports grade model powered by this LT1 is the 'SS'. Equipped with 20-inch wheels and Brembo brakes, and in the case of manual transmission models, it comes equipped with active rev matching as well as an optional magnet ride control suspension.

The sixth-generation Camaros were well-built machines, especially this SS-grade make. It is equipped with the same 6.2L LT1 engine that was first introduced in the Corvette. The handling is nothing short of exceptional, and should make winding roads a truly thrilling experience. Honestly, for all it offers, it's really quite reasonably priced.

The 2016 Camaro was inspired by the original Camaro of the 1960s... But in a very fresh, contemporary way. This iteration of the Camaro has a greater emphasis on wheels, a wide stance and muscular fender forms. Many of its shapes, in particular the hood, front end, and rear, are inspired by Corvette design.
