In-game description

"A stylish compact car that has not lost its Citroën character, even on the shared platform."

Early in the 21st century, the PSA Group's Peugeot and Citroën co-developed a new compact car platform called the "PF1". The first mass-production model with this platform was the Citroën C3, which debuted at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The styling is vaguely reminiscent of the famous Citroën 2CV, albeit modernised. With this design, Citroën asserted that it could still build highly original cars.

At 151.5 inches long, 65.6 inches wide and 59.8 inches tall, the C3 is nearly identical in size to the Peugeot 206 except for being 3.9 inches taller. The wheelbase is also 0.7 inches longer than the 206's at 96.8 inches.

In fact, the C3 stands out among modern compacts for its emphasis on style over practicality, as seen in the rounded shape of the rear end that trades luggage space for nicer looks.

Engine choices include 1.1L, 1.4L and 1.6L straight-4 gasoline models and a 1.4L diesel. The 1.4L (gas) engine puts out 74 BHP at 5400 rpm with peak torque of 12.5 kgfm at 3300 rpm, while the 1.6L produces 108 BHP at 5800 rpm and 15.3 kgfm of torque at 4000 rpm. The 1.4L model features a 4-speed automatic transmission with sport mode, but the 1.6L has Citroën's SensoDrive 5-speed semi-automatic.

The suspension is MacPherson struts in the front and a coupled beam design blending performance with space-efficiency in the rear. Another key feature is the electric power steering.

Engine performance is adequate, even with the 1.4L, because the C3 is comparatively light at around 1 ton. The main reason for choosing the 1.6L model is not for power, but rather for the semi-automatic transmission: this magic gearbox transforms the C3 into a surprisingly sporty hatchback.
