In-game description

"Equipped with the Hydractive III; a mid-class saloon in which you can experience the evolution in drive feel."

The successor to the Xantia, announced at the 2000 Paris Motor show, was the C5, the first car in a new generation of Citroëns. Until then, Citroën cars had all had names. However, for the new generation models, a combination of the initial "C" followed by a number denoting its class was adopted.

Thus, as can be understood from the name, the C5 was the mid-grade saloon.

As though it was reflecting its enthusiasm for the new generation, the body size was all-around larger than that of the Xantia. With a length of 181.8 inches, a width of 69.6 inches, and a height of 58.2 inches, it was 3.7 inches longer, 0.5 inches wider and 3.1 inches higher than the Xantia.

A wide variety of engines were mounted in the domestic French version, with petrol engines ranging from 1.8L to 3.0L, and diesel engines from 2.0L to 2.2L.

The suspension was a standard FF combination of front struts and rear trailing arms. As expected of Citroën's mainstream model, suspension control was of course performed hydro-pneumatically. The patented Hydractive electronic system evolved into version III, and its control characteristics became even more natural and precise. This unique driving feel could only come from Citroën.

With unique interior and exterior designs, as well as the ride feel created by the Hydractive III, the C5 had success in differentiating itself from its rivals. There were also releases such as the modified Blake body "C5 by Carlsson", tuned by Carlsson of Mercedes tuning fame, showing the changed characteristic of the new generation Citroën.
