This article is about the fictional rally car featured in Gran Turismo 2. For the F2 Kit Car first appeared in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, see Citroën Xsara Rally Car '99.

The Citroën Xsara Rally Car is a rally car produced by Citroën. This fictional rally car based on the pre-facelift Citroën Xsara only appeared in Gran Turismo 2, being replaced with the actual F2 Kit Car in later games.

Trivia[]

  • When viewing this car in the Special Line-Up in the Citroen Dealership in West City, it is displayed as having 295BHP. Once purchased however, it will display as having 378BHP.
  • This car was meant to represent the F2 kit car. However, it is visually and mechanically incorrect: black body instead of red and white and having both a turbocharged engine and 4WD drivetrain (neither were used until Citroën entered the WRC full-time with the Xsara WRC in 2000), as well as the rear wing placed on the roof instead of the trunk. Considering the huge number of differences between this car and the actual Xsara F2 kit car, it may be possible that this car is actually a fictional WRC-styled version of the Citroën Xsara F2 kit car.
    • On the Japanese Test Drive demo disc, a more accurate-looking version of the car (with rear wing in the proper position) can be found as the racing modification for the Citroën Xsara 1.8i 16V Exclusive. The car in that version is also available in red in addition to black.
  • In the Japanese Gran Turismo 2 Official Guide Book (written by editors of Famitsu magazine), the car is listed as FF car as with the actual F2 kit car, instead of 4WD as in-game.[1]
