Complex String is a long fictional track that only appears in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec. It also appears in Gran Turismo PSP and Gran Turismo 5, but as hidden content in both games.
This track had the distinction of being the longest in the entire series until the appearance of the Nürburgring Nordschleife and Circuit de la Sarthe in Gran Turismo 4. Despite that, it remained the longest original track until the appearance of Special Stage Route X in Gran Turismo 5 and Circuito de la Sierra in Gran Turismo 6.

Trivia[]
- The track's name may reference the fact that it is a highly technical track, given the sheer number of corners and elevation changes, and that navigating it requires a lot of precision, just like "weaving a string".
- Originally, in the Arcade Mode Time Trial challenge featuring this track, the Porsche 911 GT3 (996) '01 was meant to be used for the challenge instead of the RUF RGT '00, given that it was Kazunori Yamauchi's autobiographical car, and that he originally intended for players to drive his car on the most challenging circuit in the game.
