The DS 3 Racing '11 is a road car produced by DS Automobiles, at the time a sub-brand of Citroën. It appears in Gran Turismo Sport and in Gran Turismo 7.

- "The DS3 received its name from a line of luxury cars from Citroën that were marketed from 1955 to 1975. But the DS3, produced in 2009 to 2016, had very little in common with those original models. This car placed performance first, eventually becoming one of the Continent's most popular hot hatches. The DS3 Racing version was used as the foundation for the French company's entry in the World Rally Championship. A number of engine options were available, but the turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-6 was the most powerful at 197.2 HP. Development of the car was overseen by Citroën Racing."

Car Index (GT7)[]
The Citroën DS3 is a premium compact car released in 2009. The platform and base mechanism is shared with the simultaneously announced C3, but the DS3 is the first car of the 'DS' series that, as a luxury car line-up differentiated from the 'C' series, was finished with a unique styling design and superior quality.
The DS3 was also the base for the machine that would replace the C4 WRC of Citroën in the World Rally Championships. The DS3 WRC that entered competition from 2011 won a double manufacturer and driver championship title victory with Sébastien Loeb at the wheel.
The previous year, at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the DS3 Racing car announced was a special model, developed by the competition department that races the WRC, so it gets its name from the development team.
The 1.6 litre direct injection turbo engine of the DS3 Sport Chic is boosted from 153 BHP / 24.5 kgfm to 204 BHP / 28.0 kgfm with additional work done to its turbo and exhaust system. The car is tuned throughout, with the chassis tread width widened by 30 mm and lowered by 15 mm with special dampers and springs. The brakes are upgraded with 4 piston calipers and large diameter rotor discs and the wheels are changed from 17 inch to 18 inch rims. The interior and exterior are given bold colour combinations, setting it apart from other DS3s.
It was initially announced to be a limited production run of 1000 cars worldwide, but it became so popular that 2000 additional units were produced in 2011.

Trivia[]
- While the car was moved to the DS Automobiles section in GT7, the DS 3 Racing as it appears was only sold in 2011; the car was not sold as a DS-branded model until 2016.
