"The Kei open-top concept, showing further advancement from the Copen."
The OFC-1 is Daihatsu's lightweight convertible kei-car concept that followed in the footsteps of the previous Copen. Shown at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, the OFC-1 was a convertible two-seater with an electric roof, whose odd name stands for Open Future Concept. And while the OFC-1 may have been based on the outgoing model, it was much more advanced, with new technology that dramatically improved driving performance.
Under the hood resided an updated version of the Copen's turbocharged and intercooled 12-valve inline-3, that came mated to a 7-speed CVT with paddle shifters. An electronically-controlled damper and stabilizer in the car's suspension system played an integral role in providing superior roll stability through corners. While the Copen had rear drum brakes, the OFC-1 sported disc brakes all around.
The electric folding roof was made of glass, but it also included an LCD sunshade that could be made opaque or transparent simply by the push of a button. This allowed passengers to experience a panoramic view even with the top closed. The roof was divided into three parts, making it very compact when folded and allowed for adequate trunk space even with the top in the down position.
All this made the OFC-1 a truly special vehicle that many believed drove better than the heralded Copen, and unlike any kei-car on the road today.
The player can win this car by winning all C Class races.
