- Even if they are classified as such, not all hybrid and electric road cars can't enter this event. Two such cars are the Honda DUALNOTE '01 and Acura DN-X '02.
- The event's name is a pun on the word "circuit", referencing to both senses of the word for a race track and in electrical engineering contexts.
