Pre-race dialogue[]

Race Driver Quote Notes
Brands Hatch Indy Circuit C. López "My name's Coque López, and I've come to compete all the way from Spain! Spain is a country blessed with good food and good weather, though it does get a little hot in the summer... The first corner here at Brands Hatch is a tricky one. If you hit the accelerator immediately after braking, there's a good chance you'll drive off the track. It's therefore important to hold back a bit. For today's race, I've decided to compete in a Renault Mégane. Good luck out there!"
Alsace - Test Course Reverse B. Beauvois "Bonjour, I'm Baptiste Beauvois! Nice to meet you. The Alsace region is in France, but also close to Germany and Italy. The yellow flowers around this track are really beautiful, aren't they? France is a country known for its delicious bread, and I think the baguettes are partiuclarly special. Today's race starts in broad daylight, but it'll be dark by the time it ends. Best make sure you have a good breakfast—I'd suggest a baguette!"
Sardegna - Road Track - B C. López "Have you already attempted your National B Licence, I wonder? I'm the instructor for the National A Licence—and I'm pretty confident I know my stuff! This track has long straights, so you'll struggle if your car isn't packing enough power. If you find yourself getting left behind on the straights, try switching to a different car."
Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa M. Busnelli "Ciao! I'm Marco Busnelli, from Italy. Did you know that a Volvo Estate once competed in a European touring car race? It happened at the British Touring Car Championship in 1994. The car was the 850 Estate—and did it ever cut a fine figure on the track! Now it's my turn to compete in a Volvo Estate! I feel so honoured!" This is the featured race for both the 240 Estate and the V40, added to the game alongside them.
F. Simmerman "I'm Floris Simmerman from the Netherlands. I just love the engine that powers the Volvo V40 T5 R-Design. Not only does it pack a punch, but its transverse 5-cylinder layout is rather unique. Uncommon though it may be, it has a long history at Volvo... And has been used since the Volvo 850 from 1991."
Grand Valley - South Reverse K. Drumont "I'm Kylian Drumont, from France, and I was the 2022 Gran Turismo World Series Showdown champion. Today I'll be riding in one of the great French hot hatches—the Peugeot 205 GTI! This car often evokes memories of the '205 Turbo 16', also featured in GT7, and its performance as a world rally racer. The 205 GTI is an embodiment of Peugeot's racing spirit. It simply exudes style, wouldn't you say? Why, its exterior has hardly aged a day! Its vigorous engine and excellent suspension prove that when it comes to making small, light cars, France is second to none!" This is the featured race for the 205 GTI, added to the game alongside it.
Watkins Glen Short Course A. Santos "Hi there, I'm Antonia Santos from France. Today I'll be riding in a Peugeot SUV 2008 Allure - specifically, the 2nd-gen facelift model from 2019. You know, Peugeot is really great at making compact cars. The 2008 is a case in point - It's small but tough as nails. The lion-claw headlights and fang DRLs are fresh additions to Peugeot's visual language. While its 1.2L turbo engine is eco-friendly and economical, the car is light and perky enough to hit surprising speeds. Get a good feel for its tyre traction, and this car will not disappoint, I promise." This is the featured race for the 2008 Allure, added to the game alongside it.

Trivia[]

  • At the Kyoto Driving Park race, the Volvo 850 Touring Car is referenced by Busnelli's pre-race dialogue. However, this car has never appeared in a Gran Turismo game yet.
