The Polyphony F090/S is a Formula One-styled car available in the NTSC-J and NTSC-U version of Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec. It is based on the 1990 McLaren-Honda MP4/5B driven by Ayrton Senna in the 1990 double Formula One World Championship title. The car is the least powerful of six Formula One style cars in the NTSC versions, but is still among the best cars in the game in terms of acceleration and grip.

- Interestingly, while the car was primarily intended to replicate the MP4/5B (especially with #25 White/Red color scheme), three other color schemes of the car resembled the liveries of other teams:
- The White/Blue color scheme resembles the 1990 Tyrrell livery.
- The Light Blue/Green color scheme resembles the 1990-1991 Leyton House/March livery.
- The Black livery resembles both the ill-fated 1992 Andrea Moda livery and the 1993 Sauber livery.
- Internally, the car is named "mclaren_mp4_5b", alluding to the base car.
- The White/Red color was incorrectly given a Teal thumbnail when this car is viewed in the garage.
- Like other F1 cars in GT3, it is unsuitable for super-high-speed events, such as Like the Wind or Professional Gran Turismo All Stars, as their top speed is around 220 mph. The opponents in these events have top speeds of 235+ mph.
- The hidden car Sample 010 uses the body of the F090/S. This body was removed from the PAL version of GT3.
