- "This V12-powered P series race car was known as "the most beautiful machine ever.""
- ―In-game catch text for the car, from GT7's car collection
The Ferrari 330 P4 '67 is a classic endurance race car produced by Ferrari. It appears in Gran Turismo 5, Gran Turismo 6, Gran Turismo Sport (as part of Update 1.11, released on January 26, 2018) and Gran Turismo 7.
The car appears to be the #21, driven by Ludovico Scarfiotti and Mike Parkes, who has finished the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2nd place overall.
In-game description[]
- "The Ferrari 330 P4 is doubtless one of the most beautiful racing cars in the world—and one of the rarest also. The Ferrari P series are sportscars with a midship mounted V12 engine. First developed in 1963, they've produced a glorious history in many races. The development of the P series was stepped up to confront Ford at Le Mans... And reached its pinnacle with the P4 in 1967. At the 1967 Daytona 24-hour race, two 330 P4s and one 412P pulled off a spectacular 1-2-3 finish. Even including the P3 modified to P4 specifications, only four of these 330 P4s were ever produced."

"Known as the most beautiful machine of the V12-powered P series."
When thinking of Ferrari's motorsports activities, the first thing that comes to mind are their feats in the F1 Grand Prix. However from the 1950's to the 1960's, they also enjoyed great success in sports car racing. Though they withdrew in 1973, the 330 P4 is one car that left its name in history for being the most beautiful machine out of the "P series" V12 midship-engine prototype racers, and left a glorious record from the 60's to the 70's. 330 stands for the displacement per cylinder, in other words signifying a 4.0L engine, and the name stands for the fourth version of the P series.
The 330 P4, debuting in 1967, was developed by improving upon the 330 P3, in order to defeat Ford's GT40 which was on top at the time. Though with the same displacement as the previous version, it was a given a 444 HP engine of an almost brand-new design, with 3 valves per cylinder consisting of two intakes[1] and 1 exhaust on the heads. The nose of the body was slightly extended, and a separate spoiler was added to the rear, to improve its aerodynamic capabilities.
In actual racing, it started off by winning its debut race in the 24 Hours of Daytona, and in the Monza 1000km. Unfortunately it was defeated by Ford in the 24 hours of Le Mans,[2] but it was successful in beating Porsche in the sports car world championships, and became series champion.
There were only four ever produced, including one that was converted from the 330 P3. There was a Berlinetta version for high speed circuits, and a Spider that omitted the roof for weight reduction.

I don't care what anyone else says, I think that this is the world's most beautiful racing car! From its wheelarches to its fenders—I just can't get enough of its curves! It's not just nice to look at, though! It won the 24 Hours of Daytona on its debut in 1967! And to prove its strength, it even took all the podium positions! Truly, the sight of three 330 P4s crossing the finish line together was enough to bring tears to my eyes! That same year, the 330 P4 won the 1000 Kilometres of Monza as well! F1 drivers Lorenzo Bandini and Mike Parkes were both racing for Ferrari in that race. The 330 P4 also competed at Le Mans... But they couldn't get the better of Ford's superior numbers, and ended up in second place. Admittedly, the Ford GT40 that won at Le Mans is also a beautiful car... But for me, nothing comes close to the 330 P4. Viva Ferrari!

There never was a more stylish and sleek thoroughbred than the 330 P4. Not before or since. It may have been built for racing, but it doesn't feel like 'winning' was the absolute objective. You could say that it is the ultimate expression of a style that goes back to the 250 P of the '60s. In terms of design, the fender lines and surfaces are very expressive... Giving it its Italian flavour. After the 330 P4, Ferrari racers went a bit dry, prioritising performance and function. Indeed, this masterpiece comes from an era when race cars were still works of art.
