Description[]
"A road-going racer that greatly improved upon the performance of the F430."
The Ferrari 430 Scuderia was unveiled in September 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, introduced as a high-performance version of the F430. It also served as the successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale, a road-legal version of the 360 Challenge one-make race car from the 360 Modena era.
It came powered by the same 4.3-liter DOHC V-8 as the standard F430, further tuned to produce an additional 19.7 HP and 3.6 ft-lb of torque, resulting in a total output of 502 HP and 346.5 ft-lb of torque. Streamlined interior fittings contributed to a weight reduction of approximately 220 lbs, bringing the total weight down to a lean 2975 lbs. These improvements resulted in an impressive power-to-weight ratio of just 2.48 kg/HP.
The transmission came in the form of the two-pedal manual "F1 Superfast 2," allowing gear changes to be performed as quick as 0.06 seconds. The running gear itself also significantly impacted driving and lap times, with several F1-derived technologies implemented into the car, including the F1-Trac combined traction and stability control system, and the electronically controlled E-Diff differential.
The front bumper and rear diffuser were modified to enhance aerodynamics, resulting in blistering performance with a top speed of 320 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of less than 3.6 seconds. Surprisingly, this car achieved lap times that rivaled those of the Enzo at Ferrari's test course.
Brand Central (GT7)[]
The Ferrari 430 Scuderia blended excellent performance with captivating aesthetics, making it one of the most popular sports cars in its day. Building on the formidable foundation of the F430 series, this variant was both more powerful and lighter, benefitting from an engine upgrade and a stripped-down interior. Adding to its prowess was an advanced electronic suspension system, designed to allow drivers to push the car to its limits. Its performance was so exceptional that it recorded lap times rivaling those of the V-12-powered Enzo Ferrari!
Used Cars (GT7)[]
The Ferrari 430 Scuderia represented the epitome of driving exhilaration, whether it was tasked with a scenic coastal road or attacking a racetrack. Building on the impressive performance of the F430 series, the Scuderia offered an even more intense experience with reduced weight and enhanced dynamics. This lightweiht sports machine featured an advanced evolution of the F430's electronic stability system, tuned for track performance. Following in the footsteps of the 360 Challenge Stradale, a street legal version of its racing counterpart, the 430 Scuderia embodied the spirit of a true road-going racer.
