In-game description[]
- "Ferrari's history of producing cars with mid-mounted V-8 engines began in the 1970s with the 308 GTB. This Ferrari F8 Tributo is a modern version of that classic. As you would expect, it's 3.9-liter V-8 engine is mounted amidships. This is an improved version of the engine used in its predecessor, the 488 GTB, and packs a 710.1 HP punch. Also, despite being a turbocharged engine, its response is super sharp with no discernible lag. This is because the Tributo uses an electronic turbo system first seen in Ferrari race cars."
- ―In-game description of the car, from GT7's Brand Central
Ferrari introduced the F8 Tributo in 2019 to succeed the 488 GTB. While the silhouettes of the two cars were quite similar, they exuded a different ambience altogether.
The F8 Tributo was essentially an update of the 488 GTB; therefore, the engine, which was mounted amidships, was carried over from the 488 Pista. This powerplant was a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 that produced 710 HP and 567.7 ft-lb of torque. For the exterior, the body was slightly restyled to improve aerodynamics and redirect air flow to optimize engine cooling. Inside the cockpit, the dashboard, instrument cluster, and door panels were replaced to give the car a fresh look and feel for the driver.
The performance of the F8 Tributo was nominally better than its predecessor with a 0-100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds, a 0-200 km/h time of 7.8 and a top speed of 340 km/h.
