In-game description

"The 3rd generation Cinquecento released after a 50-year hiatus; keeps the cute looks from the 2nd generation model."

Between 1957 and 1977, the second-generation Fiat 500 sold an amazing 4 million units, thanks to its extremely low price and attractive styling.  The sales volume of the car was so significant that it put more Italians behind the wheel than any other car in history.

Fifty years after the first model made its debut, the 500 is still characterized by the original's tiny round headlights and shapely silhouette.  This third-generation model first appeared at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show and inherited many of the mechanical components from the Panda, Fiat's popular compact family hauler.  But it was the car's quirky styling that made the world notice the new 500.  As soon as it reached dealerships in Europe, the car was in high demand; it became so popular that there were backorders in most markets around the globe, even after two years on the market.

Power for this small FF (Front engine, Front drive) car came in the form of either a 1.2- or 1.4-liter gasoline engine or 1.3-liter diesel.  In Japan, the gasoline engines were the only versions sold, but they came with a dual logic two-pedal manual transmission.  The 1.2-liter produced a scant 68 HP and 75.2 lb-ft of torque.

With a lightweight body weighing only 1,010 kg (even with the luxury grade Lounge model), and a stiff chassis, the 500 was actually fairly athletic, despite the engine's low output.
