Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese car company that has been featured in every Gran Turismo game except Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, although their luxury marque Lexus is instead featured in that game. It is famous for building affordable family cars, such as the Corolla, which is the world's best-selling vehicle nameplate, with over 39 million cars sold worldwide. In the past, it is also famous for creating three sports cars: MR2 (compact sports car with mid-engined layout), Celica (compact liftback sports car, famous for winning rallies), and Supra (grand tourer). Today, Toyota puts emphasis on eco-friendly and hybrid cars, which dated back to 1997 when Toyota introduced the Prius, the world's first mass-produced hybrid car.

Trivia[]
- The theme music for the Toyota dealership in the NTSC-J version of GT1 would be subsequently remixed in GT2 as the East City theme of Gran Turismo Mode, known as "From the East", and as one of the menu themes in GT4, known as "From the East to the West".
- Despite Toyota not appearing in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue as a playable brand, a Toyota Mark II trackside prop appears in that game (noticeably on High Speed Ring), and would also later appear in GT5 and GT6 with a gray color variant,
- in GT5, the Toyota HiMedic first appears in that game in many colors as well with a Toyota GranVia.
- In GT Sport, two new scenery cars, the Toyota Probox and the Toyota HiAce, both props added in both 1.31 and 1.34 versions of the game.
- In GT4, there was also an older Toyota HiAce in one of the photo mode locations.
However, none of these said scenery cars became playable in any of the games in the series.
- From late 2017 to late 2019, Toyota disallowed a majority of non-Japanese game developers from including Toyota production cars. Polyphony Digital, being a Japanese game developer, was not restricted by this decision, and so their games still included Toyota vehicles. This also affected vehicles from the Lexus and Scion marques as they also were also not included in non-Japanese made games during this period.
- This ended when Xbox counterpart game Forza Horizon 4 being the first title marked their official return after Horizon 3 since late 2019 (although the brand did appear in the game prior to that through various other licenses), with the Toyota SUPRA RZ '97 (listed as a 1998 model there) being the first entrant to appear in the aforementioned game alongside other lineups including Lexus marque in subsequent updates.
- The Subaru BRZ S '15 (if included) was the only exception as it is the rebadged version of the Toyota 86 family by Subaru with differences in the suspension setup.
- In the FIA Gran Turismo Championship/Gran Turismo World Series competition, Toyota is the first repeat winner of the Manufacturers Series/Cup, when it did so in 2019 and 2021.
- As of GT7 version 1.44, Toyota is one of the three manufacturers (the others being Audi and Nissan) with cars in all racing classes (Gr.B, Gr.4, Gr.3, Gr.2, and Gr.1) with the addition of the Toyota GT-One (TS020) '99 as a Gr.2 class car.
