The GT by Citroën Race Car Gr.3 is a race car produced by Citroën. It appears in Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7.

It is an alternate version of the GT by Citroën Race Car, adapted to fit into the Gr.3 class, where cars based on FIA GT3 regulations are competing.

Colors[]

The original livery is available in six color options, all of which uses #37 and unnamed in-game:

  • White
  • Black
  • Blue
  • Yellow
  • Red
  • Cherry Red

The following alternate livery is available:

  • Variation (#19 Citroën Racing WRC 2016, GT7 only)

Description[]

"The GT by Citroën served as the foundation for this original Gran Turismo Gr.3 racer. Takumi Yamamoto, the GT's designer, modified the exterior so that it adhered to Gr.3 specifications. The wide fenders with multiple air ducts was one of the more notable additions."
―In-game description of the car, from GT7's Brand Central

The car shares the same description as the base GT by Citroën Road Car, stating at the bottom that it is specially tuned for Gr.3 regulations by Gran Turismo.

Trivia[]

  • It is essentially the same as the original Race Car, specifications-wise. The difference being that it features new number stickers, new Michelin tires, and far less default colors compared to the original.
    • Judging by the specs, it is likely that it aligns with FIA GT1 regulations.
    • Despite this, the GT7 Brand Central description made no mention of it being originally based on the original iteration.
  • It was the only Gr.3 car in GT Sport with more than one default color (in this case, six colors) until version 1.59, with the addition of the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept.
    • However, in process of doing so, five colors that were available from the PlayStation 3-era counterpart were removed.
  • It uses OZ Racing Center Lock wheels (albeit in black, a color not available by default), unchanged from the previous games' counterpart.
  • It is one of the few Gr.3 cars to have seven gears instead of six , with the others being the Volkswagen Beetle Gr.3, the Volkswagen GTI Vision Gran Turismo Gr.3, and the Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.3 Version).

Notes[]

  1. As GT Sport's servers has been shut down on January 31, 2024, and as the last Manufacturer Series race in GT Sport was held on December 25, 2021, it is no longer possible to obtain the car this way.
