This is a list of known glitches and bugs in Gran Turismo 4.
Selecting Unselectable Cars[]

This glitch can be only performed in Arcade Mode. To perform this glitch, the player must add two cars to the "Favorites" list. Upon selecting the Favorites list, the player must select the second car by pressing "Right" and "×" very quickly. If done correctly, the list of color options of the first car will appear on the screen, but the second car will appear shortly after, and it will be the actual car selected by the player (if the player scrolls the list of colors, the color names will be those of the second car). This glitch can be used to bypass restrictions related to the car's usage in certain tracks and/or game modes. It is also possible to use this glitch in order to use the special-colored cars outside of Gran Turismo mode, if the first car has more color options than the second.
Curiously, if the second car has less color options than the first, it is possible to see a "BMW 120d '04" text as a placeholder if the player scrolls the list of colors to the very right.
This glitch does not work on the Online Public Beta versions.
Opera Paris Glitch[]
Occasionally, when driving through the second sector of the Opera Paris course, the race automatically enters the next lap and the fastest lap of the race is also recorded, shown in this video.
Las Vegas Drag Strip Glitch[]
This course is a timed course, so it should be a straight road, but for some reason sectors sometimes appear. It's unclear why this happens, but it may be evidence that there is a continuation of the course.
Nürburgring Nordschleife Glitch[]
Nürburgring Nordschleife from There's a notorious bug that can save you from a lot of trouble. To do this, drive a wide car(Dodge RAM 1500 LARAMIE Hemi Quad Cab '04,Ford SVT F-150 Lightning '03etc...)to the Nürburgring, back into the pit area, turn the steering wheel to the right, and hold it there until the car stops shaking. Once the shaking stops, press the accelerator. If you move forward, you've succeeded. This allows you to take a major shortcut in the race. Note that first place won't count unless you get past the halfway point. Using this technique, you can easily complete Mission 34. but,The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren '03,It's not very wide, and it's hard to do this bug, so it's a trial and error process that tests your patience. But those who persevere and succeed will be awarded the title of clear and the prize money,Nissan R89C '89 of You will receive it.
