Gran Turismo Arena is a small track based in an open stadium introduced in Gran Turismo 6. This track's layout appears to be based on Kart Space I & II. It resembles venues used for the annual Race of Champions and the DTM.
This track, usually only used in Racing Kart events, is also the grounds for the Coffee Break "Cone Challenge Trials". The first two trials both use an open layout of the Arena which can only be used in these events, whereas the third Trial uses the full track.
Trivia[]
- The map of this track is modeled after the Gran Turismo logo.
- There is an unused variation of the course intended for use with a stunt-based Coffee Break challenge, internally named "stadium_break2" ("stadium_break" is the variation for the first two Cone Challenge Trials). The track is fully coded and modeled, complete with AI programming.[1]
- Pictures of another unseen variant of the track can be seen around Kyoto Driving Park - Miyabi in Gran Turismo Sport.
- As the only generally playable version of the track is named "Layout A", it is possible that those screenshots are for an unreleased "Layout B".
- The arena's scoreboard features a clock, reminiscent of a stadium used primarily for soccer.
- The circuit layout somewhat resembles that of the Serres Circuit in Greece.
