Trivia[]

  • In the Japanese demo and internal beta builds, the original prize car was meant to be NISMO 400R '96; the 400R was moved to be the International A-License instead.
  • License tests equivalent to the B-License can be found in the Japanese Test Drive demo disc build.[1] There are some differences in that demo's tests:
    • B-1 originally would have involved a Honda Civic according to the description text, but the test featured in the demo does use the Mazda Demio, suggesting that it was being changed by the time the demo was compiled.
    • B-3 uses the CR-X del Sol VGi '95 instead of the VXi '92.
    • B-4 and B-7 use the Silvia K's (S13) '91 instead of the K's AERO (S14) '96.
    • B-6 uses the FTO GPX '94 instead of the GP Version R '97.
    • B-8 uses Eunos Roadster V-Special (NA) '93 instead of the normal model. Also, it can be done before any previous test, but cannot be properly completed as the test is set to end after three laps instead of just one. The time limit it calls for, 1:04.000, is also impossible to attain even if the test is set to one lap. However, it should be noted that the demo does not yet check for license times yet, as while the tests are playable, it does nothing progress-wise.
      • The descriptions of B-6 and B-8 in the final Japanese version still state the cars' names from the Test Drive Disc.
  • The B-8 test is actually performed with Arcade Mode version of the Roadster ("amian"/EUNOS ROADSTER ARCADE), instead of the normally purchasable variant ("aminn").[2]
