In-game description[]
- "Gran Turismo players may already have been familiar with the special formula machine known as the F3500-A. The F3500-B was its variant, although both cars were born of the same admiration for 1990s F1 racing. The key difference lay in their power units. Where the F3500-A employed a V-12, the B model carried a V-8. Although less power, the V-8 delivered an output of 700.2 HP. Light and compact, it carried advantages of its own. Note the newly added front wing, crafted specifically for the car's high nose and offered in three unique designs. Beyond showcasing an evolution of the hanging wing concept, it was a visual delight. Setting the benchmark for formula machines, the F3500-B delivered an experience that only a V-8 could provide."
- ―In-game description of the car, from GT7's Brand Central
Gran Turismo introduced the F3500-A, an original formula machine created as a tribute to the golden age of early 1990s Formula 1. It captured the speed and technology of that era, giving players a breathtaking taste of top-level racing.
To continue that lineage, we now present the F3500-B. The most significant change lies in its power unit. Where the F3500-A was powered by a naturally-aspirated V-12, the F3500-B turns to a lighter, more compact V-8.
Although devoid of cutting-edge systems such as variable Intakes or pneumatic valves, it retains the same electronic fly-by-wire throttle of its predecessor. This engine revs to 13,800 rpm, and despite the inherent limitations of the V-8, it produces more than 700.2 HP. A transverse 6-speed gearbox ensures the best possible packaging.
The body remains faithful to the F3500-A, but the front end has been refined. Three different high-nose wings are available, each with its own aerodynamic philosophy.
The sharp responses and direct feel of the F3500-A remain, but with the F3500-B, you will also discover the lightness" of this V-8-powered machine.

Trivia[]
- It, along with the Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 '10, Gran Turismo F1500T-A and the Gran Turismo F3500-A, are the only cars added in content updates during the PS4/PS5 era games to contain fictional sponsors on the default livery, the latter of which shares the same fictional sponsors as this car (and also are fictional open wheel cars).
- The car as announced originally had a Benetton-style nose cone installed. However, the car instead has a Tyrrell 020-style nose cone by default, with the Benetton-style nose being a GT Auto option (Front Type A). It also had unbranded tires and lacked racing numbers.
- The Front Type B is based on those installed on Jordan 191.
- The car's side and rear options in GT Auto are identical to that present in the F3500-A.
- The car as announced also had a plain gray color (identical to the #16 in the final release). As all liveries feature an identical livery pattern, the plain gray livery is not included.
- It comes with a semi-racing exhaust by default. In the tuning shop, a racing exhaust can be purchased; installing it will alter its shape and sound without affecting performance.
- The car's default numbers continue from where the F3500-A left off, and the color schemes are the same as it except for the #1/#14 and #3/#16.
