Trivia
- The power limiter requirement is a reference to restrictor plates used on super speedways; however in this event the power limiter are also required on Twin Ring Motegi and Indianapolis, none of which require the use of restrictor plates.
- However, NASCAR did use restrictor plates in New Hampshire (designated as an intermediate oval by NASCAR) in September 2000, after deaths of Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin Jr earlier that year.
- All opponents that use Gen 6 (2013) cars are coded to use real life driver names corresponding to each car; for instance the 2013 Dale Earnhardt Jr. ♯88 National Guard CHEVROLET SS is coded so that the opponent name is "D. Earnhardt Jr". This does not apply for 2010/2011 Gen 5 opponents.
- For 2011 Brian Vickers ♯83 Red Bull TOYOTA CAMRY '11 and 2011 Joey Logano ♯20 The Home Depot TOYOTA CAMRY '11 (cars driven by drivers whose 2013 cars are not featured in the game), the game assigns "N. Vickers" and "V. Logano" as opponent names, respectively. The 2011 AJ Allmendinger ♯43 Best Buy FORD FUSION '11 is the only car not to have this treatment, as the game assigns Japanese driver N. Sakai for the car.
- Due to the Daytona race being set at night (presumably due to GT6 adding time-of-day changes on the track), it is possible the race may have intended to represent the Coke Zero 400, which has been held at night since 1998.
