Trivia

  • The power limiter requirement is a reference to restrictor plates used on super speedways; however in this event the power limiter are also required on Twin Ring Motegi and Indianapolis, none of which require the use of restrictor plates.
    • However, NASCAR did use restrictor plates in New Hampshire (designated as an intermediate oval by NASCAR) in September 2000, after deaths of Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin Jr earlier that year.
  • All opponents that use Gen 6 (2013) cars are coded to use real life driver names corresponding to each car; for instance the 2013 Dale Earnhardt Jr. ♯88 National Guard CHEVROLET SS is coded so that the opponent name is "D. Earnhardt Jr". This does not apply for 2010/2011 Gen 5 opponents.
  • Due to the Daytona race being set at night (presumably due to GT6 adding time-of-day changes on the track), it is possible the race may have intended to represent the Coke Zero 400, which has been held at night since 1998.
