The Gran Turismo Race of Champions is the final esports race of the Gran Turismo calendar. It is an exhibition race, contested by the champions of that year's Gran Turismo World Series as well as selected other past champions, that is held at Polyphony Digital's Tokyo office as part of their annual Year End Party. The broadcast is tape-delayed and released at midnight JST on New Year's Day of the next year to celebrate the new year.
As part of the broadcast, the winners of that year's Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup are presented with a cake inscribed with their names and manufacturer/country.
