In-game description[]

"An original 100 cc Kart with setting focused on cornering performance."

One of the main learning tools for a race driver in training is the go-kart. A true competition go-kart is designed with only racing in mind; therefore its components are kept as simple as possible. They include a steel pipe frame, an exposed engine, a steering wheel, a bucket seat, and two pedals. There is no complicated suspension system (or driving gears in non-shifter karts), so the driver has maximum control of the vehicle's cornering control, in tight corners, the throttle often needs to be modulated in order to follow the ideal line. All driving inputs are directly transferred to the road, and much precision is required to operate one in its full potential. Thus the go-kart is the ideal tool to hone your basic driving skills.

The power of a go-kart can vary greatly with some as low as 15 HP. That said, some go karts can exceed 62 mph on a compact track. These machines also corner well, thanks to their low center of gravity and high level of grip provided by racing slick tires. In fact, some go-karts can pull as many lateral G's as top formula racecars. Many professional race drivers use go-karts for training to further enhance their skills, not to mention strengthen their neck muscles and maintain their driving sharpness in the off season.

Go karts are making their first appearance here in the GT series, in the form of a 100 cc air-cooled 2-cycle engine. It was designed and developed to provide basic driving characteristics that most anyone can enjoy. Take it out for a spin and experience for yourself the joys that only a go-kart can provide.
