The Gran Turismo Red Bull Racing Kart 125 is an open wheeled 125cc go-kart style vehicle produced by Gran Turismo and Red Bull Racing. It only appears in Gran Turismo 6, where it was added as part of Update 1.02.

In-game description

Racing Karts provide the first step and entryway into motor racing for many racing drivers.

The configuration of a racing kart is simple. The chassis, built solely for racing, consists of a steel tube frame, to which is mounted a bare uncovered engine, a steering wheel, two pedals and a bucket seat.

Since it has no suspension or differential gears such as you would see in standard commercial cars, it is necessary to control the grip of the tires directly, and in tight corners you must make the car turn in by giving it more gas. Their drive feel is strictly direct and sensitive. There is no better machine to refine our basic driving techniques with.

The maximum output of an engine mounted in a beginner class racing kart only has 14 BHP or so, but the Karts often exceed 100 km/h top speed even in a compact Kart course. Also, its low center of gravity and high-grip slick tires make the car extremely capable, and pulls the same level of G's in corners as would a top formula car. There are still many professional drivers who drive Karts in the off-season in order to maintain their driving senses and neck muscles.
