Grand Valley Highway 1 is a fictional course appearing in Gran Turismo 7, where it was added in Update 1.29. It is a reimagined Grand Valley Speedway, now set along the Big Sur Coast Highway in California and with different elevation changes from the original circuit. A shorter version exists called Grand Valley South.
Overview[]
Similar to the original Grand Valley Speedway, Highway 1 is the full 5 kilometer version of the Grand Valley circuit, taking the player along the Big Sur Coast Highway with its cliff and seaside views for 18 turns.
Compared to the original circuit, Highway 1 is narrower and lined with barriers along the side of the track, offering less margin for error. Elevation changes are also different, with the most prominent being a constant downhill from the turn 2 hairpin all the way to where the track joins back at the shortcut through the cliffside. The bridge over the water is also longer, adding in a brand new high-speed right-left section before the final turn.

Trivia[]
- The track is situated next to a beach which is home to a colony of northern elephant seals. [1]
- Unusually, this track, as well as its South layout, uses a different start-finish line for the reverse variant of the course. When run in reverse, the start-finish line is positioned under the gantry nearest to the tunnel, as opposed to the regular variant which uses the gantry nearest to the hairpin.
