The Historic Car Cup is a race series in Gran Turismo 2, found in the second line-up of the Special Event category. It is a race between historic cars.

- Two races of this event features cars that the player can't use due to the HP limitations, specifically the second race, where a Ford GT40 '66 can appear as an opponent despite exceeding the 295 BHP limit by 10 BHP, and the third race, where a Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray (C2) '67 can appear as an opponent despite exceeding the 394 BHP limit by 39 BHP.
- Despite being called the "Historic Car Cup," there are no entry restrictions based on the age of the car, nor does it actually define how old an historic car should be (although as there is also an 80s car cup, it suggests that the cars should be prior to 1980). Given that many cars on the game are not even given a model year, adding such an entry restriction would probably have caused issues anyway.
