Strategy[]

This event is considered a moderately average difficulty series for those who want a bit of a challenge. All of the opponents though use Comfort Tires or Sports Tires resulting in them not being as fast in the corners. The player should use softer tire rubber such as Sports Softs or Racing Hards which will allow the car to get the most out of their lap times and keep up with the front runners.

With the PP Limit set to 580, it’s necessary to use a Car that is 300-400 HP while having a Power Restrictor and Ballast installed if the car’s PP Value is too high. Cars that have a lower power output while also lightweight should have upgrades installed like a Fully Customizable Suspension and NA Engine Tuning or a Turbocharger which can make them quicker albeit making them less stable and add more PP to it.

Examples for fast cars to tackle this event include any Classic Italian car such as those from Lamborghini or Ferrari, the Porsche 959, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 (C4), any American muscle car, or even the Ford GT40 Mark I with most of them having a Fully Customizable Transmission to ensure better top speed. Most of these cars appear in either the Used Car or Legends Car Dealership and can take a while before the car they want comes around.

Trivia[]

  • In the race at Grand Valley, José Serrano's dialogue suggests that he is driving a Porsche 911 Carrera RS when he is in fact driving a Lamborghini Miura. This could suggest that he was originally going to drive the Carrera RS instead of Angel Inostroza.
  • There is a rare chance for Daniel Solis to appear in the Willow Springs race driving a red Shelby Cobra, as hinted at by Takuma Miyazono's pre-race dialogue. If Solis's Cobra does spawn, they will start the race with engine damage.
  • The races added when the event came out feature Race Start and Finish jingles (Race Start 09 and Race Results 09) that also plays in the World Touring Car Races, but for Willow Springs and Grand Valley, the jingles that is played there also plays in the races in the early parts of the game.
