This is the sixth-generation Accord, new in September 1997. It has been called the "World Middle Class Car", with slightly different versions sold in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Japan. In Japanese specification, it has a line-up with a total of 6 types of engines, from 1.8 liters to 2.0 liters. The sportiest in the Accord line is the SiR-T. It is equipped with a dual overhead cam in-line four-cylinder engine with a displacement volume of 2.0 liters. And, of course, VTEC is used to help it generate a maximum output of 197 BHP at 7200 rpm and 145 lb-ft of torque at 6600 rpm. It is a front-wheel drive car, with rigid body structure and a double wishbone suspension in the front and a five-link double wishbone suspension at the rear. Disc brakes are used at all four wheels. With its high stability, it is a delightful sedan with the punch of a sports car.
